Some 1,500 new surveillance cameras will be installed in Dubai Metro stations over the coming few days, bringing the total number of cameras to 6,000.
Abdul Mohsin Ibrahim Younis, chief executive at Dubai Roads and Transport Authority’s Rail Agency, said the move aimed to make the Dubai Metro safer for commuters.
He said inspectors will ensure Metro users abide by the law and any caught breaking those laws would be fined. More info
