Dubai: The Dubai Mall is marking the 41st UAE National Day with a range of cultural and educational events with a view to delight residents and tourists alike.
The mall is rolling out a range of activities to mark the ‘Spirit of the Union,’ including an initiative to pay tribute to the UAE called ‘Our Efforts, Raise Our Flag’, by Watani, the UAE-entity working towards promoting and strengthening national identity. Under the initiative, visitors will be encouraged to express how their efforts play a role in contributing to the UAE’s development. The most inspiring messages will be presented to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Among other key attractions at the mall, the UAE Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development is presenting an exhibition on the ‘Spirit of the Union’ at The Waterfall Atrium until Dec.3, while the Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology (EIAST) will showcase a model of DubaiSat-2 to highlight the advances made by the nation in the space industry, at the Treasury Dome until Dec.6.
Hamdan International Photography will present a photo exhibition on the UAE until Dec.10 at Grand Atrium and Sougha, a Khalifa Fund initiative, will host a ‘Get your Sougha’ event until Dec.6, offering visitors the opportunity to purchase genuine designers inspired by Emirati heritage.
KidZania, the children’s ‘edutainment’ centre at The Dubai Mall, is celebrating the 41st UAE National Day by offering young ones an array of customised activities such as Youlla dancing, Abaya and Kandura fashion shows, baking of Arabic sweets, and much more.
Young ones can also learn about the history of UAE through traditional themed activities and delight in the street parades featuring the beloved mascots Urbano, Vita, Bache, Chika and Beebop.
At patriotic high
Mercato, located on Jumeirah Beach Road in Dubai, has been beautifully decorated with multi-coloured lights and patriotic UAE flags to mark the 41st National Day celebrations.
As part of the celebration, which will continue till Monday, Mercato will host an array of traditional hospitality and entertainment to get the visitors into the National Day spirit.
