The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently signed a partnership agreement with the Dubai Judicial Institute providing for the two parties to share scientific expertise and cooperate in gaining more legal knowledge to enhance the performance.
The Agreement was signed on behalf of the RTA by Abdul Mohsin Ibrahim Younes, CEO of Strategy & Corporate Governance; and on behalf of the Dubai Judicial Institute by Judge Dr. Jamal Al Simaiti, Director of the Institute, in the presence of Shehab Bu Shehab, Director of RTA Legal Affairs, and a host of officials from both entities.
Abdul Mohsin reiterated RTA’s keenness on forming partnerships with various external bodies in keeping with its strategic goals; which are considered the key pillars of improving its business conduct and leveraging the quality of services rendered to all community segments to keep pace with the sweeping developments witnessed by the UAE across the board. The signing of this Agreement, he says, is an important step towards establishing bilateral relations between the RTA and the Institute through making serious concerted efforts to up the performance, exchange expertise and enrich the legal practice.
For his part, Judge Dr. Jamal Al Simaiti, Director of the Dubai Judicial Institute, expressed his delight with the signing of this Agreement with such a key public entity in the UAE like the RTA, considering it an important step towards opening new horizons for the Institute to cooperate with several entities in the UAE. Under the Agreement, he says, a myriad of events, training workshops will be held in the public interest with a view to furthering the legal knowledge and accordingly step up the performance in these specialist fields.
Shehab Bu Shehab, Director of RTA Legal Affairs, described the Agreement as “a pioneering step for broadening and boosting the cooperative links between community organizations, particularly as the Agreement calls for enriching the knowledge through teaming in holding various events capable of boosting the performance of employees engaged in RTA legal affairs.” These joint events, says Bu Shehab, include holding training workshops, scientific conferences in addition to offering legal consultations and providing a diverse cast of legal publications to assist the fruition of the objectives and visions underlining this Agreement.
