The event targeted approximately 75 RTA’s employees hailing from various agencies and departments, along with their families. The event is also intended to revive the collective spirit among employees who can savour a joyous and merry experience, away from work stress.
Kawthar Kazim, Director of RTA Human Resources and Development, said, “Holding this event for the second time running followed the success of the first festivity, which reflected a great atmosphere of intimacy among employees, besides realizing the core objective of opening a platform for constructive dialogue and discussions aimed to promote teamwork spirit among employees.”
“There is no doubt that such events contribute to promoting employees’ performance and sustaining their achievements by taking them away from the work environment to practice various recreational activities. This would consolidate interrelations, exchange of various ideas, dialogues and different skills. The potential results of this event will certainly have their useful bearing on employees, uplift their performance level, and help them discharge their entrusted duties in an optimal way,” continued Kawthar.
“The Department, added Kawthar, is keen to hold ‘Waves of Joy,’ festivity on regular basis this year, to ensure the happiness of employees & community members, and motivate them to make more effort in performing their duties in the best possible manner.”
It is noteworthy that, during the ‘Waves of Joy’ event, employees were lifted by RTA’s buses to Ras Al Khaimah in order to promote the mass transit concept among them. The event encompassed a number of exciting spots for employees and their families, such as children-oriented beach activities where they enjoyed a variety of shows, as well as holding an entertaining workshop accompanied by various activities for employees.
