Last night’s Super Bowl live broadcast was the chosen location for the latest Furious 7 trailer placement, and the movie gets bigger, bolder and, yes, dafter, with every new sneak peek.
At just one minute and 10 seconds (those Super Bowl slots don’t come cheap), the trailer is less than half the length of the official trailer we saw last October, but we do get some lovely new shots of the Abu Dhabi skyline, sweeping desert vistas from the Western Region, ensemble scenes of the cast making the most of Emirates Palace, and a sneak preview of a larger-than-life stunt in which Vin Diesel fires his speeding car through an upper-floor window of one of the Etihad Towers, and into the waiting window of its sister tower opposite, rather disturbing the attendees of a swanky-looking exhibition in the process.
It’s not long until the film’s official release on April 3 now, and although nothing has been confirmed yet, we have it on good authority that the team was back in the capital scouting locations for a possible global premier over the last few weeks, so watch this space. More info
