Dubai Police has launched a campaign to educate motorists about the dangers of stopping in the yellow box at traffic junctions.
The campaign titled ‘Do not stop in a yellow box junction’ – which began on October 26 and will run until November 12 – aims to eradicate traffic jams.
Colonel Jamal Al Banai, Acting Director, Traffic Department, federal traffic law prohibits motorists from stopping in the yellow box junction and impeding normal traffic flow.
Col. Banai said motorists caught stopping in the yellow box at traffic junctions will face a fine of Dh500. More info
