HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai, has received, in his office, HE Abdul Hadi bin Mohammed Al Shafi, Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Dubai.
The visit was in the context of cementing friendly ties between the two parties.
Al Tayer welcomed the visiting Saudi Consul General wishing him a pleasant stay in the UAE and every success in boosting the bilateral relations between the two nations. He briefed the visitor about road projects and transportation systems undertaken by the RTA up to 2020 to keep pace with the upswing seen by Dubai and meet the needs of hosting Expo 2020.
The Saudi Consul was impressed by the huge projects accomplished by the RTA in upgrading the infrastructure of roads and transportation in Dubai. He expressed his hope for forging a strategic partnership between the RTA and its counterpart in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. More
