As the UAE prepares for a nationwide three-day sterilisation campaign, Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) will suspend all public transport services to combat the threat of COVID-19.
Public transport services will be halted from Thursday March 26 at 8pm to Sunday March 29 at 6am to conduct a complete sterilisation of the facilities.
The move is part of the UAE’s National Disinfection Programme announced by the Ministry of Health Prevention (MoHAP) and the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
ITC said they have started number of precautionary actions since the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) including the extensive cleaning and sterilisation of the public transport modes in order to “protect the society and public transport users”. More
