H.E. Matar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), has recently received at his office HE Zhan Jingbao, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai. During the meeting the two parties discussed means of boosting cooperation and exchanging expertise between the RTA and its counterpart in China as well as cooperation with Chinese firms operating in the field of rail industry & construction of road project.
At the start of the meeting, Al Tayer welcomed the Chinese Consul and briefed him on future projects set to be undertaken by the RTA including road networks, crossings on the Dubai Creek, extension of the Business Bay Canal and various transport projects. He also acquainted the Chinese diplomat with RTA plans for partnering with the private sector in constructing some of RTA future projects.
Al Tayer expressed his hope for cementing the strategic relationships and cooperation between the RTA and specialized Chinese businesses and factories in the field of roads and transport, particularly as the RTA has mega projects to be constructed in future. More info
