Damac Properties has sealed the naming right for the Dubai Marina Station on the Metro Red Line.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the RTA by Abdullah Yousef, CEO of the Rail Agency; and by Hussain Sajwani, Chairman and CEO of Damac Properties. Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Younes, CEO of RTA Strategy & Corporate Governance Sector, among other officials from both parties, attended.
Abdulla said Damac is one of Dubai’s largest real estate developers. Securing the naming right of the Dubai Marina Station is a testament to the success of the Naming Rights Project, which has captured the attention of the key businesses in the UAE.
“The Damac station is characterized by several geographical features including its strategic and touristic location in Dubai, as it serves around 100,000 people, besides being an intersection station with the Dubai Tramway when it opens later in November this year,” added Abdulla.
Hussain Sajwani said: “The Dubai Metro has proved to be a model for the success of mass transit systems in the Emirate, and we pride ourselves on renaming the Dubai Marina station as Damac Station, given the strategic location of the station amongst key touristic & residential districts in Dubai Marina.
