Dubai Fashion begins tomorrow

This year’s Dubai Fashion, the signature fashion event of the DSF, begins on Thursday and will continue till February 4.

Mohammed gets plaque from RTA staff

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received a memento plaque as a gift from the staff of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of his accession as the Ruler of the emirate.

Car-free Day on January 18 in Dubai

Announcing this at a press conference on Wednesday, Director General of DM Hussain Nasser Lootah said 13 government offices and ministries, mostly located along the Dubai Metro line are joining the civic body in its annual initiative on its third anniversary. The Municipality will close its parking lots and senior officials and employees of participating entities will board the Metro and buses on Wednesday, leaving their cars back home.

Shopping malls extend hours

Weekend shopping hours have been extended to midnight in many malls including Al Ghurair Centre, Arabian Mall, Deira City Centre, BurJuman Centre, Reef Mall, The Dubai Mall, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Marina Mall, and Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Wafi, Mercato and Lamcy Plaza.
