A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable, who was deployed on the Delhi Metro airport express line, committed suicide on Thursday by shooting himself with his service rifle.
The police said 40-year-old Mukesh Kumar shot himself dead around around 3 a.m. while he was on duty at the New Delhi station.
“The constable was taken to the nearby Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital, but was declared dead on arrival,” IANS quoted a senior Delhi Police officer as saying.
The officer also said that senior police officers have reached the spot and an investigation has begun. More info
