Dubai Civil Aviation Authority has announced a 15km drones exclusion zone around Al Maktoum International Airport for the duration of the Dubai Airshow .
All drone operations will be prohibited from November 13-21 within a 15km radius of Dubai’s second airport, according to a tweet on the Dubai Media Office page.
The move comes a few months after flights from Dubai International Airport, the world’s busiest hub for long-haul flights, were suspended for half an hour over a suspected drone sighting, the latest case of a remotely-controlled flying device disrupting a major airport.
