Public transport in Dubai lifted nearly four million people during the holidays of the Prophet Birthday, Commemoration Day and National Day from November 30 to December 3.
The Roads and Transport Authority said in a statement that the metro, tram, public buses and marine transport carried a total of 3,964,179 riders during the holiday period.
Dubai Metro lifted 2,044,827 riders, public buses served 1,599,238 people while marine transport shuttled 243,448 riders and the Dubai Tram lifted 76,666 passengers.
Improvements were recently made to Dubai Metro and Tram services to “upgrade services, cater to the needs of riders and bring them happiness so that they reach their destinations faster”. More info
