My son was born on 09.09.09 and the Road and Transport Authority promised a birthday gift pack for all metro babies.
However, it got delayed and I received it only after 11 months after persistent follow-up through e-mails to ask@rta.ae (I have maintained all the records).
The official letter from the RTA marketing & corporate communications department apologises for the delay and congratulates the parents. The metro baby birthday gift pack includes a certificate signed by Mattar Al Tayer, a toy train and a free one-year metro access special cards for mother & father. The first anniversary of the Dubai metro is around the corner (23 days to go) which could be the last day of Ramadan or first day of Eid Al Fitr.At least we got the gift pack before the anniversary!
