Dubai: Visiting the leading English newspaper Gulf News will be much easier for Dubai Metro users if they alight from trains at the Business Bay Station on Shaikh Zayed Road.
The offices of Gulf News and the Arabic daily Al Bayan are just a five-minute walk from the station and those choosing not to walk can take a feeder bus.
The Business Bay Station, which is located next to Al Safa Salik Gate, will be served with two feeder bus routes F18 and F20, which will carry passengers to and from nearby communities including Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1 and Al Safa 1.
Visitors to one of Dubai’s most beautiful public parks – Al Safa – can also use the station. The facility will also serve employees and visitors to the Emarat Artrium, Al Mazaya Centre and Safestway – the main shopping areas in the vicinity.
The station, meanwhile, is convenient for the thousands of residents of the Police Housing Colony and other residents in Al Wasl.
It will also serve employees and visitors to Dnata and Emirates airline offices on Shaikh Zayed Road next to the Eppco petrol station.
Similarly, Metropolitan Hotel guests and visitors to the Metroplex Cinema Complex will have easy access if they use the Metro, which is scheduled to open on September 9.
The station has been named after Business Bay, which is a massive business, commercial and residential district being developed by Dubai Holding next to Downtown Burj Dubai along Shaikh Zayed Road.
The Business Bay consists of a selection of high and low-rise freehold buildings, catering for offices as well as some freehold residential property. There will be bus links to serve the Business Bay communities.
