Dubai Metro carried 71,266 passengers on Tuesday, taking the total number of users over the Eid Holidays to 266,671, statistics from the Roads and Transport Authority showed.
Tuesday’s total was down on Sunday and Monday when more than 97,000 rode the Red Line of the metro network.
The Mall of Emirates Station was the busiest of the 10 stations open, recording 49,521 passengers, followed by Al Rashidiya (43,943), Nakheel Harbour & Tower (37,726), Khalid Bin Al Waleed (31,532), Union Square (27,145), City Centre (25,806), Dubai Financial Centre (17,036), Al Riqqa (15,239), Al Jafliya (10,991) and Dubai Airport Terminal 3 (7,732).
Dr Aysha Al Busmait, director of RTA’s Customer Service Centres, said that the total number of metro users since its launch to the public on September 10 had reached 797,768.
No breakdown was given to show the busiest times on each day.
