WAM Dubai, Oct 13th, 2010 (WAM)–The Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in the presence of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, launched the Dubai Metro’s green line experimental operational phase.
Sheikh Mohammed boarded the metro from the Dubai Healthcare City in a trip that took him to Khalid bin Waleed, Al Ghubaiba, Al Ras and Al Ittihad Stations, where the green and red line meet. He continued his trip from Al Ittihad station to Police Headquarters Station to the last Etisalat Station in Al Qusais district.
The inauguration of the green line was also attended by Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibai, director of the court of the Ruler of Dubai, Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Dubai Police Commander-In-Chief, Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Jumaa Al Maktoum, Eng. Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Board Chairman and Executive Director of Roads and Transports Authority and other officials.
