The island that will house Dh6 billion Bluewaters Island, home to the Dubai Eye, the world’s largest ferris wheel, has been fully reclaimed, Emirates 24|7 can reveal.
This website had reported in June 2013 that work had started on the Meraas Holding’s development off the Jumeirah Beach Residence coastline.
Construction for Dubai Eye was scheduled for the second quarter of 2013. Hyundai Contracting and Starneth Engineering have been appointed as primary contractors for the design and construction of Dubai Eye.
The 210-metre Dubai Eye will offer magnificent views of Dubai’s coastline and iconic landmarks such as Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah and Burj Khalifa, the developer had said. More info
