Riyadh region governor Prince Khalid bin Bandar announced Friday (January 31st) that work will begin within eight weeks on Riyadh’s metro project, Saudi Arabia’s Al-Riyadh daily reported.
“The metro, which is the biggest and most important project in Riyadh, will pass through most of cities and areas of Riyadh,” bin Bandar said. “It will be executed as per the latest world standards in terms of stations, train cars and services provided through it.”
Government agencies will oversee the project, which is being built by three companies, he said. More info
