The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the timing of various services to be delivered during Eid Al-Adha holiday at Customer Service Centers, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro, marine transit modes, driving schools and institutes, and vehicles testing and registration centers.
Ms. Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication, at RTA Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, said: “All Customers Service Centers will be closed during the Eid holiday starting from Friday 3 October (Arafat day) and resume duty on Tuesday 07 October. All paid parking zones in Dubai Emirate will be free to use during Eid holiday except for the parking lot at the Fish Market and the multi-level parking terminal as of Friday 03 October, and fees will be activated as of Tuesday 7 October.
Explaining the service timing of the Dubai Metro stations during the Eid holiday, Al Marri said: “The Dubai Metro Stations will be open for passengers on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday (2nd, 4th and 5th October) from 05:30 am up to 02:00 am (on the following day), and on Friday October 3rd, the metro service will be operational from 10:00 am up to 02:00 am (on the following day). On the following days of October 06th and 07th (Monday and Tuesday), the metro service will start at 05:30 am up to 01.00 am (past midnight), and on the following days October 15th, 16th and 17th (Tuesday to Thursday) the stations will receive passengers from 05:30 am up to 01:00 am (on the following day).
Detailing the service timing of public buses during Eid Al-Adha holiday, Al Marri said: “Public bus stations will start service as of Saturday 4th October until Monday 6th October, as follows: Public Bus stations including Main Stations such as the Gold Souk, and Al Ghubaiba, the service will start at 05:10 am and continue up to 12:00 am (midnight). At the subsidiary stations of Satwa, Qusais, Qouz Industrial and Jebel Ali, the service to Jebel Ali Station will start from 06:00 am until 10:00 pm, and for other stations it will be from 05:30 am until 11:45 pm except for Route C01 which will be operational round-the-clock.
In the Metro Feeder Bus Stations, such as Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Mall, Ibn Battuta, Abu Hail, Etisalat, and Burj Khalifa Stations, the service timing will be from 05:15 am to 01:10 am (on the following day) noting that all Metro Feeder Bus Stations will be synchronized with the metro operational hours.
“The timing of commercial buses and inter-city bus service will be as follows: Main Stations (like Ghubaiba) will remain operational 24 hours a day, while subsidiary stations (such as Sabkha, Union Square, Deira City Center and Karama) will be on duty from 05:30 am up to 12:00 (midnight). External stations such as Sharjah (Jubail – Bur Dubai) will be on service round-the-clock, while Abu Dhabi station will be operational from 05:00 am to 11:55 pm (before midnight). Fujairah station will be running from 06:40 am to 10:00 pm, and Ajman station will be on service from 06:00 am to 10:00 pm while Hatta station will start service from 05:30 am and continue up to 09:30 pm,” elaborated Al Marri.
As for the marine transit modes working hours, the Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication, said “The working hours of the Water Bus (through Al Khor Stations) start on Thursday at 07:00 am and continue up to 10:00 pm and on Friday from 10:00 am until 12:00 (midnight). As for the Water Bus at Marina Station, services start on Thursday from 10:00 am and continue up to 12:00 (midnight) and on Friday from 12:00 pm (midday) to 12:00 (midnight).
The Water Taxi during the Eid holidays will be from 10:00 am up to 10:00 pm, Dubai Ferry will provide service at Al Ghubaiba Station on Friday and Saturday from 11:00 am, 03:00 pm, 05:00 pm, 06:30 pm, while at Marina Station, Dubai Ferry will be operational on Friday and Saturday from 11:00 am, 01:00 pm, 03:00 pm, 05:00 pm and 06:30 pm.”
“The vehicles testing and registration service will be closed on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and the services will resume on Tuesday 07 October. Service providers include: Tamam and Wasil vehicles testing centers (Al Arabi Centre and Al Jadaf); ENOC (Qusais, Tawar, Barsha, Warsan & Jebel Ali, Hatta, Head Office); Shamil Vehicles Testing Center (Head Office, Muhaisna, Al Adhid and Nad Al Hamar); Mumayyaz Vehicles Testing Center (Aswaq Al Mizhar and Barsha Mall) in addition to Al Sherawi Vehicles, Cars and Quick vehicles testing centers,” said the Director of RTA Customer Service Centers in a final remark.
