The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has recently received a delegation from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) with the aim of reviewing RTA’s experiment in managing the corporate performance, and implementing the Online Performance Management System (ADAA) as well as benchmarks adopted in measuring the performance management in the RTA.
The meeting, which was held in RTA Head Office, was attended by Khalaf Al Khalaf, Acting Director of Development & Corporate Performance, and several specialists from the RTA, in addition to a delegation from Researches & Performance Management Section at Policies & Strategies Sector, Dubai Health Authority.
The meeting discussed means of boosting joint cooperation between the two authorities and exchanging expertise capable of bringing in positive results on the business process. The Development & Corporate Performance Dep’t gave a detailed explanation about the Online Performance Management System (ADAA), and how it is used in the processes of follow-up, and submission of periodic reports about the performance made in the strategic plan, and progress rates of various projects underway.
During the meeting, the Dep’t also presented different types of Performance Cards; which have been developed in the system by RTA employees who have been certified as Approved Program Designers.
“In implementation of the directives of H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, RTA Chairman of the Board and Executive Director, the RTA is striving to upgrade all performance management systems as they play a huge role in realizing RTA’s strategic goals, streamlining processes, and enhancing the corporate governance across the RTA,” continued Khalaf.
The senior leadership attaches paramount importance to embracing the concept of performance management, and reposes great confidence in the role of the system along with its success in disseminating the culture of performance knowledge throughout the RTA, he commented.
Meanwhile, the visiting delegation of the DHA was impressed with RTA initiatives and the substantial advancements it made in various fields in general, and in the corporate performance management in particular, and lauded RTA’s experiment in this regard. More info
