A delegation from Sharjah Transport has recently visited the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) to review the best practices adopted in RTA’s Administrative Services Dep’t, along with the work mechanism in place, particularly the e-archiving system, with the aim of exchanging expertise, and improving services in a bid to speed up processing and improve the quality deliverables.
Ahlam Al-Feel, Director of RTA Administrative Services, praised the ongoing interaction with various community organizations which contributes to improving the business environment, and sharing experience in order to enhance the business process, and realize the best possible results. Exchanging visits, she says, has a positive bearing on the business process as it enhances the performance to the highest standards of excellence, particularly as all RTA agencies & departments are always keen on adopting the best business techniques conforming to the highest global standards in the interest of all stakeholders.
“The main objective of the visit was to give the delegation an overview of the electronic archiving of documents, along with the techniques adopted in keeping paper transactions in secure places in order to maintain their quality for several years,” she commented.
During the meeting with Sharjah Transport delegation, a visual presentation was made focusing on how to handle documents via RTA’s internal messaging system as it helps reduce outlays on paper, and how to electronically archive documents.
Afterwards, the delegation headed to RTA Post Office where it reviewed the business processes in place starting from the receipt of correspondence from a wide spectrum of external clients & entities across the UAE, up to the final delivery to the concerned recipients in RTA agencies and departments.
At the end of the visit, the delegation of Sharjah Transport praised the visit and the communication with the RTA in sharing expertise and practices through examining the nature and functionality of RTA archiving unit, and the best systems adopted aligned with the highest international standards, adding that the exchange of mutual expertise is bound to improve the quality of deliverables.
