Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority has recently inaugurated the automated “Takamul” system to compute activity-based costs of public buses.
The system is reportedly the first of its kind in the Middle East.
It calculates cost-revenue elements of bus activity, generates performance indicators related to cost and revenue elements, and issues financial reports electronically.
The system links seven systems: Transport Electronic System, Government Resource Planning System, Fuel System, Scheduling System, Maximo Maintenance System, Unified Card System “NOL”, and Vehicles Automatic Control System. More info
