DUBAI: The Public Transport Agency, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has recently unveiled family packages marking the start of events of the Dubai Summer Festival with the aim of offering new and multiple options for various community segments, and attracting new riders to the Dubai Ferry.
“The family packages comprise four tickets (two for adults and two for children) with a 10 per cent discount on the sales price such that the price of the Gold Class ticket will be Dhs210 instead of Dhs225, and the price of the Silver Class ticket will be Dhs140 instead of Dhs150,” said Hussain Khansaheb, Director of Marine Transport, Public Transport Agency at the RTA.
“Through launching this promotional offer we aim at increasing the ridership of the Ferry by 5 per cent, thus we are targeting to attract additional 3,936 riders to bring the Ferry ridership by the end of 2014 to 82,647 riders in comparison with last year’s ridership which clocked 78,711 riders,” he noted.
“The RTA is always keen on offering smooth and advanced mass transit services in support of the abundant activities and events hosted by the Emirate of Dubai including tourist marine transit modes such as the Water Taxi and the Dubai Ferry. More info
