More than 50,000 visitors to The Dubai Mall have signed the bodywork of a prototype vehicle in support of a safe driving campaign launched by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
“The campaign displays for the first time a model of a virtual vehicle so that motorists can perceive the fate of a vehicle driven beyond the speed of 100kph, rendering it difficult to control in case any roadway obstacles or surprises are encountered,” said Moaza Al Marri, director of marketing and corporate communication at RTA.
“Each signature contributes to curtailing reckless speeding, which ensures safe roads and contributes to safeguarding the lives of motorists and road users, especially in light of the alarming increase in traffic accidents caused by excessive speed.”
The campaign was also launched on RTA’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds. More info
