The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) announced the timing of its services during the holiday marking the 41st National Day in Customer Service Centers, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro, marine transit modes, and driving schools as well as vehicles testing & registration centers.
Dr. Aysha Al Busamit, Director of RTA Marketing & Corporate Communication, said: “All Customer Service Centers will be closed during the National Day holiday for two days from Sunday 2nd of December and will resume service on Tuesday 4th of December. Paid parking zones all over Dubai Emirate will be free of charge except for the Fish Market and the multi-level parking lot on the 2nd & 3rd of December and the paid service mode will be reactivated as of the 4th of December.
“As for the Dubai Metro service hours during the holiday period (2nd and 3rd of December), all metro stations will start service at 05:50 am and continue running until 12:00 am (midnight), and the express metro service will also be operational as normal starting 05:30 am.
“The timing of public buses (Dubai Bus) will be as follows: Main Bus Stations (like Gold Souk, Ghubaiba) and subsidiary stations (like Satwa, Qusais, Qouz Industrial, and Jebel Ali) will start at 06:00 am and continue service until 12:00 am (midnight) throughout the week. Stations of Feeder Bus Service at Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa, Etisalat, and Abu Hail) will offer service from 06:00 am up to 01:00 am (past midnight).
“Commercial buses and inter-city buses will operate as follows: At the Main Stations (such as Al Ghubaiba), will operate 24/7, and at subsidiary stations (such as Sabkha, Union Square) will operate from 06:00 am up to 12.00 am (midnight). Deira, City Center and Karama Stations will operate from 06:00 am up to 10:00 pm. External stations such as Sharjha (Jubail – Bur Dubai route), will offer services 24/7, and Sharjah (Jubail – Deira route), Abu Dhabi, Fujaira, Ajman and Hatta will operate from 06:00 am up to 10:00 pm,” added Al Busmait.
About the marine services during the holiday, Al Busmait said: “The Marine transit means will be operating from 07:00 am to 10:00 pm, Water Taxi from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, and Ferry Dubai from 09:00 am to 07:00 pm.
“As for driving institutes such as Emirates Driving Institute (Head Office and Al Qusais), Belhasa Center (Jebel Ali), Al Ahli Center, Dubai International Driving Center, Galadari Center, and Drive Dubai will be off on the 2nd & 3rd of December, and will resume service on 4th of December. Belhasa Center (Nad Al Hamar, Al Wasl) will be operating during the holiday but will provide registration services only. Registration offices at shopping centers will be geared by the timing of the relevant centers, but drivers testing service and issuance of driver licenses will not be available during the 2nd and 3rd of December.
“As for Offices offering vehicles testing & registration services, Mumayaz, Wasl, and Shirawi Centers will be closed for one day only (2nd December) and resume service on 3rd of December. Tamam, Shamil, and ENOC-Tasjeel centers will be off on 2nd and 3rd December such that the service will be restored on 4th of December,” said Dr. Aysha in a final remark. More info
