Service timing during Isra & Mi'raj holiday
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced changes to the business hours of all its services in Dubai marking Isra & Mi’raj holiday, Saturday, April 14th 2018. RTA service outlets include customers’ happiness centres, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai metro and tram services, marine transit modes, and service providers (Technical Testing).
Yousef Al-Rida, CEO of Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, RTA, said, “All customers’ happiness centres will be closed during Isra & Mi’raj holiday corresponding to Saturday, April 14th, 2018. All paid parking zones will be free across the emirate during the holidayexceptfor the multi-level parking lots. Paid parking fees will be reactivated on Sunday 15 April 2018.
“On Saturday, April 14th, the Metro Red Line stations will operate from 05:00 am to 00:00 am (midnight), and the Green Line stations will operate from 05:30 am to 00:00 am (midnight). The Dubai Tram will be in service on Saturday from 06:00 am to 01:00 am (of the following day).
“The timing of public buses (Dubai Bus) at various stations on Saturday 14 April will be as follows: Main Bus Stations such as Gold Souq will operate from 04:25 am to 12:57 am (past midnight). Al Ghubaiba Station will be in service from 04:26 am to 12:45 (past midnight). Sub-stations, such as Satwa, will start from 04:57 am to 11:05 pm except for Route C01, which operates, around-the-clock. Al Qusais Station will run bus service from 04:30 am to 12:12 (past midnight), and Al Quoz Industrial Station will be in operation from 05:02 am to 11:35 pm. Jebel Ali Station will operate from 05:00 am and continue up to 11:22 pm,” explained Al-Rida.
“Metro feeder bus stations at Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail, and Etisalat will be in service from 05:00 am to 01:10 am (of the following day). The timing of all feeder bus service will be synchronised with the timing of the metro journeys.
“Inter-city bus stations will be operating as follows: Main stations, such as Al Ghubaiba, will be operating around the clock to Sharjah (Jubail), and Abu Dhabi service will be running from 04::40 am up to 01:00 am (of the following day),” he noted.
“Substations, such as Union Square, will be in service from 04:35 am up to 12:30 am (past midnight). Al Sabkha Station will run from 06:30 am until 00:00 (midnight), and Deira City Centre Station will be operating from 06:07 am until 11:06 pm. Karama Station will run bus service from 06:10 am until 10:16 pm and Al Ahli Club Station will run from 05:55 am to 10:15 pm.
“External Stations, such as Sharjah’s Al Taawun, will run from 05:30 am until 10:00 pm and Fujairah Station will operate from 05:15 am until 09:30 pm. Ajman Station will open from 04:35 am until 11:30 pm and Hatta Station will be in operation from 05:30 am until 09:30 pm.
“The timing of marine transit services during the holiday will be as follows: The Water Bus will run at Marina Stations (Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace, Marina Promenade) from 12:00 at noon up to 12:00 midnight. Dubai Ferry will be calling at Ghubaiba and Marina Stations at 11:00 am, 01:00 pm, 03:00 pm, 05:00 pm and 06:30 pm. The Ferry will operate from Al Jaddaf Station to Dubai Water Canal Station at 12:00 at noon, and 05:30 pm, and from Dubai Water Canal Station to Al Jaddaf Station at 02:05 at noon and 07:35 pm. The Water Taxi will operate from 09:00 am until 10 pm,” he continued.
“Abra timing during Isra & Mi’raj holiday will be as follows: Traditional Abra will operate in Dubai Creek Stations (Ghubaiba, Baniyas, Dubai Old Souq and Al Seef) on Saturday, April 14 from 10:00 am until 12:00 midnight. At the Sheikh Zayed Road Station, abras will operate from 04:00 pm to 11:30 pm. The Electric Abra will operate from Al Qasr Hotel Station to Dubai Mall from 12:00 at noon up to 11:30 pm, and at Burj Plaza Station from 12:00 at noon up to 11:30 pm.
Abraat Al Mamzar will start from 02:00 pm until 12:00 midnight, at Burj Khalifa Station from 06:00 pm up to 11:00 pm. The Air-conditioned at Al Jaddaf, Dubai Festival City will operate from 07:00 am to 12:00 midnight.
“All centres affiliated to service providers will be closed on Saturday 14 April,” concluded the CEO of Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, RTA. More
