His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has inaugurated the station and vehicle model for Al Sufouh Tram in Dubai, which is the world’s first tram that runs with ground power feeding on the entire line without need for electrical air wires.
Shaikh Mohammed was accompanied by H. H. Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
Shaikh Mohammed and Shaikh Hamdan endorsed today the interior design of Al Sufouh tram vehicles and a number of Road and Transport Authority (RTA) initiatives to enhance the role of mass transport in the emirate.
