The Traffic Movement and the Handling of Operational Plans during Annual Events Team at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is fully prepared for managing the traffic during the eve of the New Year 2016.
RTA announce Dubai Metro will run 24-hours for New Year's Eve
Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi, from the Roads and Transport Authority, said: “The metro will be operating round-the-clock starting from 06:00 am on 31/12/2012 up to 01/01/2013 where it is anticipated to lift more than 132,000 passengers on that day. The service will be running every two-and-a-half minutes during peak hours and 8 minutes during off peak hours."
