The UAE has become an important financial location in recent years having attracted billions in investment from businesses around the world. Dubai is a key location within the UAE and projects such as the Burj Al Arab and the Burj Khalifa along with a host of other modern architecture projects are synonymous of the city and its ambition.

At the 11 to 14 second mark you catch a glimpse of the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa (formerly Burj Dubai) on the right. This timelapse footage was shot at 2 frames per second on XDCAM-EX 1080p25 at dawn on 23 October 2010.

Tourism is also beginning to rebound from its lows in 2008-2009, and large infrastructure projects such as the Dubai Metro, Burj Khalifa, Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubailand, the Yas and Saadiyat Island developments in Abu Dhabi, and many others will definitely attract more tourists as the global recovery gains momentum in the coming few years.

Dubai-based leading interior contracting company Depa Ltd. expects its net profit for 2009 will rise around 24 per cent to Dh241 million compared to Dh194.5 million in 2008. Its major projects in the country include the Burj Al Arab Hotel, Emirates Palace, Dubai Metro and Italian fashion brand Armani’s first hotel in the world located in the world tallest 
tower Burj Khalifa.
