In addition to the connectivity between metro lines, efforts are made to connect Dubai metro to Etihad Rail, which will run to Oman and Saudi Arabia. Three proposed stations — Al Maktoum Airport Station, Dubai Land Station and the Central Station — will provide access to the wider Etihad Rail network.
Implementation of the Districts Addressing System
The initial phase of the plan includes street naming in six areas: Umm Suqeim 1, Umm Suqeim 2, Umm Suqeim 3, Al Sufouh 1, Al Sufouh 2, and Dubai Marina, and is set to be completed before the end of this year. The 2nd phase comprises naming streets in 6 new areas, namely: Al Nahda , Muhaisna, Oud Mateena, Nad Al Sheba, Al Thaniyah, and Dubai Investments Park, and the phase is set to finish by the end of 2013.
