The floating duck comes to Dubai
A floating giant rubber duck was launched at Jetty 2 of the Dubai Creek along Al Seef Road on Sunday to create awareness on the importance of water conservation and to celebrate the UAE National Day and Dubai Expo 2020 win.
Abu Dhabi: Rail link to Dubai under tender
Railway developments are moving forward in Abu Dhabi, with the first phase of an expansive national project expected to be completed this year. A national network will decrease the emirate’s dependence on increasingly busy highways, and could be a boon to GDP growth. However, delays in scheduled passenger services will keep commuters on the highways for the next several years.
Implementation of the Districts Addressing System
The initial phase of the plan includes street naming in six areas: Umm Suqeim 1, Umm Suqeim 2, Umm Suqeim 3, Al Sufouh 1, Al Sufouh 2, and Dubai Marina, and is set to be completed before the end of this year. The 2nd phase comprises naming streets in 6 new areas, namely: Al Nahda , Muhaisna, Oud Mateena, Nad Al Sheba, Al Thaniyah, and Dubai Investments Park, and the phase is set to finish by the end of 2013.
