Nol Silver card users have Dh14 per day cap: Dubai Metro...
“If Nol Silver Card users spend Dh14, all their trips on the Metro or bus routes will be free,” Mohammad Youssef Al Mudharrab, Director, Automated Fare Collection Card, Road and Transport Authority (RTA), told Emirates 24|7. Gold card users also have a daily cap of Dh14, but the calculation is based on the trip fare only and not on the surcharge.
Khalid Bin Walid is Dubai's busiest metro station
Khalid Bin Walid has emerged as the busiest Metro station in Dubai with more than 19,000 passengers using the station every day, a top official has told XPRESS. Ramadan Abdullah, Director, Rail Operations, Dubai Metro, said an average of 19,097 passengers take the Metro to or from the Khalid Bin Walid station in Bur Dubai every day, followed by Union Square station with 18,113 passengers and Deira City Centre with 15,607 passengers.
Over three million Nol card transactions recorded
More than three million Nol cards which are used for public transport including the Dubai Metro, buses and water transport have been sold since the launch of the Metro on September 9, 2009. The RTA offers four categories of Nol cards: the Red card, Silver Card, Gold Card and the personalised Blue Card.
