Jumeirah Corniche opens for public on Sunday as work on phase two of the 14km long beachfront completes, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced.

The jogging track spanning seven kilometres that is part of the Jumeirah Corniche project boasts a host of environment friendly features. The materials that have gone into the making of the track as well as the lighting system used for the project should rank it among the greenest such ventures in the country.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed the initial phase of the project extending more than 2km starting from the Dubai Sailing Club up to a point adjacent to the Dubai Municipality’s Centre at Umm Suqeim. The project is more than 70 per cent complete and is on schedule for its October opening this year.
