The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will open the main traffic diversion of the Dubai Airport Road on Thursday, June 30.

The seasonal parking permits issued by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) are not valid for use in parking lots near the Gold Souq in
 Deira, Khaleej Times has learnt. Many motorists are unaware of the change which came into effect from September 15, though RTA has put up a huge signboard near the parking lots that reads “parking permits not valid”.

Adnan Al Hammadi, the chief executive of the RTA's Rail Agency, declined to say how many stations would be renamed or what they would cost. "Each of these chosen stations has a unique value, calculated according to its prime location, anticipated passenger numbers and other variable factors," he said.

"The store suffered for two years from when the construction began," Mr Jaman says. "The parking was removed for the Metro's construction, and when the station got higher and higher, people couldn't see the store any more from the street. Business really went down.

“Phase I and II of the campaign, which were launched recently, included all new and basic information that Green Line users may need, including the names of the new areas served by the metro, points of attraction, intervals between stations, in addition to complete information about the metro working hours, tariffs,” said Dr Al Busmait.
