All 29 stops on Dubai Metro’s Red Line will be open for business by the end of February, senior transport officials said yesterday.

Dubai Metro has broken the 3 million passengers’ barrier according to statistics compiled by Rail Agency at Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) which revealed that metro ridership has hit 3,492,175 passengers lifted in two months from the start of operation on 10 stations on the Red Line on 09/09/09 up to 09/11/09.

The recently launched Dubai Metro is likely to have a positive effect on take-up in these areas, although it is too early to say to what extent.
