Centre yet to set up fare-fixing body for Mumbai Metro

The Union Government today told the Bombay High Court that the fare fixation committee for the Mumbai Metro was yet to be appointed. A division bench, headed by Chief Justice Mohit Shah, asked the government to file an affidavit by September 18 explaining the procedure followed by it to appoint the committee.

Work on the Ghatkopar metro station is going strong. Mumbai Metro One (MM1) officials say that 80% of the work will be complete before the monsoon season breaks into the city.
