Metro Sept riders more than UAE population
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai on Wednesday announced that nearly 5.9 million people travelled on Dubai Metro during September. A press statement issued today said that the Green Line – which opened for public on Sept.10, clocked 1.277 million passengers in just 20 days whereas the number of riders on the Red Line during September (30 days) hit 4,661,469 passengers.

Green Line was part of a master plan intended to enhance the integration of mass transit modes and expand public transport reach to all residential, trading & business districts as well as other cultural, sports and health facilities.
