Appreciating the pivotal role labourers played in building the infrastructure of Dubai, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has decorated workers through various initiatives.

The second day of the 1st International School Transport Conference & Exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Center, saw interactive panels including a work paper entitled: Engineering Road Safety for Schools, delivered by Adrian Tan Hock Chuan, Deputy Director, Community Partnership of Singapore’s Land Transport Authority.

Up to 100,000 drivers in Dubai will be required to undergo medical tests, after the licensing agency at the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) announced it has started to issue occupational permits for some driver categories. The change meants that truck drivers, bus drivers, taxi drivers and private chauffeurs will be required to pass a medical test.
