New speed humps cause traffic jams in Dubai
The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has built a number of speed humps inside Dubai’s International City over the past few months with the aim of increasing pedestrian safety. The move, which included building two to three speed humps on almost every main street in the area, has affected the flow of traffic at all times of the day.
RTA could open two more metro stations
Officials are studying the possibility of extending Dubai Metro’s services to two more stations, a senior Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) official told Gulf News. The authority expects an increase in ridership of five per cent annually. “RTA is currently studying the possibility of extending services to two more stations — one on the Green Line and one on the Red Line,” Ramadan Abdullah, Director of Rail Operations at Dubai Metro, told Gulf News.

The fine is Dh100.” As per the RTA website, causing inconvenience, discomfort or distress to other passengers in any way whatsoever will result in a fine of Dh100.
