Cooperation of taxi customers to find their lost items
The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), Roads & Transport Authority, (RTA) called upon the public and visitors to cooperate in safeguarding their belongings & personal items when boarding taxicabs in a bid to minimize the number of complaints made and accordingly attain customers satisfaction in line with its vision of: Pioneers of Passenger Transport Services.
Dubai taxi users urged to take care of their belongings
As the number of complaints about lost items in taxis increases, the Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) operated by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has urged passengers to take better care of their belongings. In case of a lost item in taxis, customers are urged to register a complaint through the call centre (8009090), DTC website (www.dubaitaxi.ae), or RTA website (www.rta.ae).
RTA sets off online booking of Driving Test service
The Licensing Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), has recently launched a new electronic service targeting learners at driving schools in Dubai enabling them to book driving test appointments online.
RTA offers 170 online services
The number of visitors to the RTA website (www.rta.ae) increased from 926,000 hits in 2009 to 5.336 million hits in 2011. Also, the number of text messages jumped from 25.089 million messages in 2009 to 34.164 messages in 2011. The number of users of RTA e-services jumped from 12,677 users in 2006 to 137,000 users in 2011, and the number of firms registered in RTA portal reached 12,000 firms in 2011 compared to 3,000 firms in 2006.
RTA to allocate M-Coded vehicle licensing plates online
The Vehicles Licensing Agency at the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has recently started offering M-coded vehicle number plates online through its portal, customer service centers and strategic partners outlets in response to the positive feedback received and the intense public interest in acquiring these distinguished plates.
RTA offers quad bike plates online
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has started issuing number plates of quad bikes online. Abdullah Abdul Rahman, Director of RTA Vehicles Licensing, said: “The new service is aimed at streamlining the process of registering quad bikes in a bid to enhance security and safety.”
