Mohammed to inaugurate Dubai Metro Green Line on 9/9/2011
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, will launch on September 9, 2011, the official operation of the Dubai Metro Green Line; which stretches 23 km and comprises 18 stations in addition to the two transfer stations; Union and Khalid bin Al Waleed Stations shared with the Red Line.

Roads & Transport & Authority - Manal Khalid: The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), reaffirmed that the construction of the Dubai Metro. Green Line was part of a master plan intended to enhance the integration of mass transit modes and expand public transport reach to all residential, trading & business districts as well as other cultural, sports and health facilities.
