The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) inauguration ceremony of the Green Line. This event was organized to launch the extension of the Dubai Metro and was attended by Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid with all Dubai government officials and RTA executives.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed a one-year agreement with DHL. The deal will see the express company provide postal services through the post system known as Packstations at Dubai Metro stations.

Work has resumed on the Dubai Metro after a settlement was reached with a Japanese-led consortium over unpaid bills that total billions of dollars, the Financial Times reported, citing two sources familiar with the situation.

Al Tayer: Completion of electromechanical works hits 80-97%

DIFC, Mall of the Emirates and Nakheel Harbour and Tower station's were closed in morning.

H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), revealed that all construction works on the 19 stations on the Red Line of Dubai Metro have been completed, and that electromechanical works in the said stations range from 80 to 97%, adding that RTA is all set to phase out the opening of the stations in February 2010.

Dubai // Properties near Metro stations along the recently opened Red Line, even ones that will not open until next year, are now in bigger demand and commanding higher rents.
