Lives may be at risk in Metro station
A letter written to MMRDA-MMOPL by the Fire Brigade states that the 10-storey-high station, which may end up delaying the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro corridor, is being constructed in such a location and has been designed in such a way that it may hinder fire fighting operations
Officials to beef up security at site
A day after two brothers fell and died in a trench dug for the construction of the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro corridor at Asalpha in Andheri (east), officials from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) have decided to investigate the matter and take necessary precautions to avoid such untoward incidents in the future.
