Dubai is fast becoming fashion design contest city with the launch of The Dubai Mall’s talent scouting competition in collaboration with Vogue Italia.
The initiative follows the success of the inaugural Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience held in Dubai in October 2014, and serves the run-up to the event’s second edition this year, with the chosen young designers to be mentored by fashion experts and their works showcased at the high-fashion event.
So how do you join and get discovered? Young designers, with brands that have been established for at least a year, can email their application by April 2014 to: tdmtalentscouting@condenast.it.
They should provide a short biography, a written description of the collection’s inspiration, hi-res photographs or videos of already produced collections, and information about the brand’s distribution channels. More info http://bysymphony.com/scouting2014.
