 Dubai: Nearly 700 buses will exclusively cater to Dubai Metro stations as part of the “complete journey plan” drawn up by Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to encourage people to use public transport.
“We will provide a complete journey solution to commuters using the public transport and the Metro stations will be linked with public buses to take passengers to areas around the stations,” said Mattar Al Tayer, chairman of the board and executive director of the RTA.
“We will have 80 per cent of Dubai covered by our public transport system within the next two years,” he added.
