DUBAI: From inception, the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) had always been keen on ranking various community segments — particularly beneficiaries of its multiple services — at the top of its priority list with the aim of delivering these services in a handy, speedy and transparent manner.
In support of this strategic drive, the RTA has re-launched early this month its newly-dressed website featuring a host of added features at the top of which is centricity on e-services users among the beneficiaries of the online service packages delivered by various agencies and sectors of the RTA.
“The newly designed RTA website is characterised by its enhanced performance, improved end-user response time thanks to the use of cutting-edge technologies designed for upgrading websites, smooth surfing, and more emphasis on services through designing a new user interface that makes it easy to navigate and toggle between information and services.
A thorough facelift has been made in the way the website contents are displayed and oriented towards focusing on services in which users take interest, and displaying the core information on the webpage itself,” said Dr Aysha Al Busmait, director of RTA Marketing & Corporate Communication.
“We have reset the classification of services on offer by aligning them with the needs and uses of the public, provided a comprehensive directory of RTA services fitted with a quick search engine for the required service, and displayed services as per RTA agencies or alphabetical order. Services provided have been divided into four groups depending on the type of user and user’s need for the service. “The first group is for permits and NOCs, which comprises traffic services, traffic safety, roads and traffic signage, right of way, and public utility services. The second group covers transportation services, which includes Nol cards, Dubai Metro, public buses and marine transit modes.
