The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently honoured employees who took part in the first training course “Honourable, Noble and Virtuous” Program; where 11 male & female employees attended the course that lasted two months. During the course, participants attended to the full syntax of Al-Kahf surat along with the linguistic meaning of the verses, enabling them to better understand the Surat.

The result meets the objective of the program through which RTA National Identity Team aims to enrich the knowledge of employees of the holy Quran through tracing the proper connotation of verses; which paves the way for analyzing syntax and unveiling the secrets & inferences of the holy Book.

Dr. Aysha Al Busmait, Director of Marketing & Corporate Communication, RTA Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, and Head of RTA National Identity Team, praised the dedicated efforts & focused attention of participants till the syntax of the entire Surat was completed. “Participants are now empowered to offer the phrase structure of any Surat in the Quran, thanks to the enhanced sentence structure knowledge they have acquired; which will reflect positively on the way they write and read, be it the holy Quran or otherwise. It is note-worthy that the workshops presenter is a member of the National Identity Team and not an expert from outside the RTA.

“The second edition of the program was kicked off with a two-hour training workshop during which the lecturer gave a preparatory introduction in Arabic Grammar and philology (Fiqh). The Course lasted two weeks and participants showed commitment to attend the entire program and were keen on doing homework about what they gained by attempting the syntax of Tabarak Surat; which was covered in the second session of the Program.

“The Workshop also gave a brief introduction about Grammar jurisprudence as well as science of predication, and the principles of Theology; where the participants were briefed that the Grammar science, which was founded by Imam Ali bin Abi Taleb (PBUH), covering how it evolved, syntax cases, syntax signs, compound & non-compound words, nouns, verbs and prepositions.  The “Honourable, Noble and Virtuous” Program is part of the religious programs of the Team which also include modulation (Tajweed) of the Holy Quran for male and female employees during which a number of clergymen and women gave lectures.

It also includes religious competitions published in Al Masar Magazine over four months, started before Ramadan. The program also included publishing supplications from the Holy Quran on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan in Al Masar Magazine and in the intranet.

“The religious program adopted by the RTA’s National Identity Team is part of a major initiative entitled, “Eloquence,” which is one of three key initiatives adopted by the national identity team during the current year under the overall objective aimed to instill the concept of national identity in the minds of employees in collaboration with various community events by strengthening people’s knowledge, and improving their skills and competencies in Arabic language along with its grammar towards achieving a better understanding and mastery of the language,” added Al Busmait.

The initiative also included the “Arabic Tongue,” page along with “Say & Don’t Say,” initiative through which the National Identity Team seeks to spot and correct the most common language errors and uses by posting daily messages over RTA’s Intranet, Twitter and Facebook, among other websites specialized in broadcasting such phrases and correcting language errors.
