Dubai: Dubai’s transport authority has launched a new water bus line to shuttle passengers between the Festival City Station and Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, an official announced yesterday (Sunday).
The ride through the area surrounded by lush green promises to treat passengers to picturesque views, as they move along the serene and tranquil creek waters.
“In a short cruise lasting about 30 minutes, passengers will experience a safe and smooth transit punctuated by stunning sea views and the bus will slow down at certain locations to enable passengers to take memorable photos of gorgeous sceneries in abundance,” Bahauddin Al Qudra, Director of Marine Transport at the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) Public Transport Agency, said.
The Water Bus service starts at 10am and 11am, and at 2 pm and 3pm, and again at 4 pm, 5pm and 6pm from Saturday to Thursday. On Fridays and official holidays, the service will run at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm and 6pm. The fare is Dh25 per person for a round trip, and tickets will be issued on board the water bus, which can also be chartered for those interested in private trips. More info
